Muscleworks is a genuine London institution, the East End's Home of Champions since 1988. This is hardcore bodybuilding in its purest form: 20,000 square feet of heavy iron, dumbbells almost nobody else stocks and a 24/7 door. It can get busy and it is unapologetically intense, but the regulars are friendlier than the reputation suggests, and for serious physique work there are few more authentic places to train in the country.
Around 20,000 sq ft over multiple rooms, open 24/7, with dumbbells running up to 180lb, a huge resistance-machine spread, cardio, bags and a functional zone.
A raw, sweaty, no-frills bodybuilding temple, loud and intense but with a warm regulars' community underneath.
Founded in 1988 by champion bodybuilder Savvas Kyriacou, who has trained the likes of Ronnie Coleman.
